Link climbed up the last set of stairs, and set foot on the ground of the Village. It had been quite a while since he had been there last, and it was an enjoyable sight for him. The windmill slowly turning, the wind blowing gently, and each member of the Village sleeping peacefully in his or her home.
"So, where is the winery you work at?" Link asked Kegeru, without looking behind him. "Last time I was here, they hadn't constructed a winery yet.

"The winery is back in the forest a little ways. It is fairly new, but still 10 to 20 years old. Most people don't see it when they first arrive in town and us workers don't come into Kakariko too often," Kegeru replied. She slung her rucksack over the opposite shoulder than the one it had been on the whole time. "What are you going to do now? Are you going to brave the field, or would you like to stay with us at the windery for the night?"

"I'll stay at the winery tonight, if you're sure its alright with the owners." Link responded, putting away his sword as he spoke.

Kegeru nodded and smiled. "Follow me, then." She led the way to the gate to Death Mountain, then turned after entering and walked into the forest. For about fifteen minutes they travelled through the trees with only the moon lighting their way, but eventually the trees thinned and they emerged into a wide clearing. The first thing noticable was a large-to average sized house with a single torch lit on teh front of the building. The next things were the rows of grape vines stretching throughout the rest of the non-wooded area. "Home sweet home," Kegeru remarked.

Look took a moment to observe his surroundings, and then turned to Kegeru and spoke. "It's so nice here..." He commented. "Can't believe I wasn't aware of this place until now...I usually do a lot of wandering, and I'm friendly with many villagers here, so its very strange that I've never stumbled across this place or been directed to it before..."
Link turned to look at the house for another moment, and then looked back at Kegeru again. "So, how long have you been living here for?"

Kegeru paused for a moment before answering. "Since the attack on Hyrule Castle by the Gerudo a few years back. You probably haven't heard about the winery because the boss tries to keep us on the down low. We don't have much security, so someone might decide to just waltz in here and eat our grapes or something." A night bird sang in a low tone for a moment, then quit as Kegeru began towards the house. "There are a few guest rooms in here. The owner is fairly lax about people staying, so you should be fine," she said before ascending the steps and opening one of the doors.
The house was peacuful and silent. Aging reddish purple carpet covered the bluish rock floor, and lace curtains in the same state let in the moonlight through the windows. A double staircase in the center of the room led up to a double door, but the other doors in the room were less ornate. The door in the wall to their right was simple wood, and had scratch marks along the bottom. The other door was set to the right of the stairs, and beside it, a single torch was lit, illuminating the stone wall. "I'll show you your room upstairs," she said promptly and grabbed the torch.

"Alright..." Link replied, as he began to follow Kegeru. "Thanks so much for the hospitality...I don't have many close acquaintances in Kakariko, so I'd probably be sleeping outside if you hadn't invited me to stay here." His mouth formed a geniune smile as he thanked her.

Kegeru smiled back. "It's no problem." She opened the double doors on the landing, then led Link into the closest room. "This is a guest room. Once you're done sleeping, go through the door to the right of the front door with all of the scratches on it for breakfast." She lit a candle for Link, then smiled and left.

Once Kegeru left the room, Link tossed his sword, shield, and inventory bag aside, and laid down on the very comfortable guest bed.
"This beats sleeping outside by a mile." Link said to himself. He closed his eyes.

When Link awakened, light was streaming through the windows and the sound of animals awakening was on the air. Kegeru was standing in the door of his bedroom awaiting him. "Are you ready for breakfast?" she asked.

Link got out of bed, and stretched. "I'm...ready..." He answered, half asleep. He yawned, and then began gathering his things.

Once Link was done gathering his things, Kegeru led him back into the foyer, then through the door with the scratches on it, which opened into a room that smelled distinctly of food cooking. As soon as Link entered the room, four cats rushed over to greet him, rubbing against his legs, and a young man no more than four years older than Link himself stood up at the table and greeted him. "Hello, I am the owner of the winery. I hear you helped Kegeru get back last night. You are welcome in my home. Right now, everyone is waiting for the food to finish cooking, so come sit down and enjoy before you leave. And please don't mind my cats. Only one or two bite," he said with a smile. The other people around the table greet Link as well.

Link greeted everyone at the table, and thanked the owner of the winery for warm allowing him to spend the night. He then sat down at the table, and waited for breakfast with the others.
"There were many stalchildren in the field last night, and quite a few poes as well...I think that some of the Castle Town guards may have to start patrolling certain areas of the Field at night...its not safe at all."

The owner of the winery nodded in agreement. "We've had a few problems with Poes going to sleep near the vines, then being disturbed by a worker. And a Wolfo or two has come after the cats," he says as he scratches the ear of one of the two cats lying beside him. His eyes flicker to the clock on the wall, and he stands up and moves into an adjacent room, expressing, "Breakfast should be ready now." Indeed, the smells of cooked food waft into the room, and he returns with a heaping plate, which he sets on the table, saying, "Help yourself, everyone." Promptly, most of the workers dig in, but Kegeru waits for Link to take his share first.

Link grabbed some deku nuts, a few pieces of fruit, a few pieces of bread, and dug in.
